Bloggers Block

Bloggers Block

Diagnosis – Bloggers Block!

I’ve been a bit off kilter this last week. I’ve hit a ‘block’ as they say! I struggle as it is to make good pictures to show you the great stuff from my awesome sponsors and events. But recently I’ve found it very difficult to take a great shot. It’s got me feeling a little bit down. All I see everywhere is pictures better than mine. Blog posts written better than mine, everything better than mine! Yep, sorry to say that’s how I felt. I was wondering if this was just me. I mean, no-one else seems to say this has happened to them. Anyway, very unlike me, I put a comment on facebook telling my friends how I was feeling, and guess what? It’s not just me! I’m not going mad, or losing ‘it’ whatever ‘it’ is! Bloggers Block, it seems, is a real problem we all hit at some time or other.

And, of course, while I’m trying and failing to take the right picture, with the right setting, clothes and pose, and choosing the right words to go with it, I’m actually not doing anything, including blog posts, which has added to me feeling pretty bad about myself and questioning if I should just give up!

But you know what? I suddenly realised, it matters not if someone can write better than me, or take a better picture than me, that stuff is unimportant. Because I just replace the word ‘better’ with ‘different’. Things look better already! The thing is we all have our own unique style to everything, so it does not mean one is better than the other, just different. And at the end of the day, if my sponsors like my work, that really is all that matters to me.

So, I’m not giving up! Of course we all strive to be better than we are, and we are all learning as we go. It’s a couple months off a year since I started this blog, and when I look back at my first few posts, to the ones I do now, I have come so far, learnt so much, and the best thing of all is I have a network of blogging friends who are the most supportive and encouraging group of people I could have met and some awesome sponsors who have been amazingly generous, Thank you all.

Anyway, I think I’ve probably bored you all enough with my moping, here’s the good stuff….

The top I’m wearing has come from Masoom. Available at We ❤ Roleplay till 31st July.  Comes in fits for Maitreya and Slink.  The fatpack comes with lots of colour options for both the scales and the fabric parts via a HUD. I’m wearing the Maitreya fit with my Lara body and its perfect, no alpha and no poke through!

Look at the awesome shoes! (Click HERE to see them up close and personal!)  These are by PC, and are their exclusive item at Addicted To Black round 3, which started yesterday. They come in fits for Maitreya and Slink and there’s a HUD for colour options. Absolutely killer heels!

We ALL love hair right? And we all love gifts too right?  Well this fabulous hair from adoness I picked up at The Hair Fair. It’s their gift and it’s truly awesome. This plum coloured half shaved style is very different to anything I usually buy but I sure do like it! You have till 31st July to get over to the fair and grab this.

The cute little black skirt I bought from the recent Indie Teepee event from Reverie. I don’t officially blog for Reverie but I do love their stuff, and outside of blogging I wear their clothes a lot. The event is over now but you can try the Reverie Mainstore for this. The Florence skirt comes in other colours too, but as you all know I do love my blacks! It’s cute and versatile and again comes in a wide variety of fits for mesh bodies and classic. I’m wearing the Maitreya fit and I did have to alpha my butt just a little bit, but other than that this is a little gem!

The nails are from DP – Koffin Nails.  Available at this round of Applique. I did blog these yesterday, and if you click HERE you can see them up close. I’m loving the subtle tones of blues and pinks. Truly Holographic Heaven!

The skin is also the same as yesterday’s post, form 7Deadly S[k]ins Maren in pineapple skin tone with Lelutka head applier and Maitreya body applier. I’m wearing version 4 which comes with this dramatically black makeup! Another awesome skin from the Deadly team!
