The Call of Cthulhu

“We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.”
― H.P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu

Wow do I have some fabulous things to show you today! Theres so much newness and fabbyness around at the moment, the creative spirit is running rife through SL. Everything I see is amazing!

First off I have the beautiful Memoire gown from diva! at Marvelous Monthly. There are 7 colours available and it comes in fits for all the usual mesh bodies, Freya, Venus, Isis, Hourglass and Physique, TMP and Maitreya. Im wearing the Maitreya as usual and I just had to alpha the legs a bit. Marvelous Monthly runs until 25th October so just a few more days to go grab this gown!

The rest of the items im showcasing today come from the current round of Genre. Genre runs from 15th October till 12th November and this rounds theme is Lovecraft. With items inspired by the stories of H.P. Lovecraft.

First there are my eyes from Vengeful Threads. The Abyssal Mesh Eyes come in 6 colours, each with a ‘normal’ version and a ‘glow’ version so 12 options in all. Im wearing Crimson Glow and you can see how bright they shine! They are modifiable too so you can stretch them a bit if you need to. Also from Vengeful Threads is my ring. The Abyssal Beast Ring comes in either red eye or green eye options. As you can see I am wearing the red eye. The ring also has option to fit on right and left hands so you can wear on either or both! Also is modifiable so you can stretch or shrink to fit as needed.

Staying with Genre my Nails from Dark Passions – Koffin Nails are the Cthulhu Glamour set and they are one of two sets available at the event. As always from DP-Koffin Nails they come in appliers for Omega, Slink and Maitreya and there are 12 colour options.

Again from Genre my choker is the Cthulhu choker from Spyralle. see how it wraps around my neck to the back and then forms this beautiful array of tentacles. I really love this. There are six colours available each for the front and back changeable via a HUD. Which means you can have the front one colour and the back a different one. Awesome!

And last, but certainly not least from Genre is my hair. from MUSE. This is the Lovecraft hair and I am wearing black from the Naturals pack. There are three colour packs available at the event. It comes in fits for standard sizing and a breast option for those with the bigger boobs! There’s a whopping
48 colour options in each HUD, so lots and lots of options.

Thats all for today, I hope you enjoyed this post as much as i did putting it together, Ill be back soon with more goodies to show you, meanwhile as always below is the when and where etc….

  1. Great post, Phen! I used to read Lovecraft’s stories at the library when I was a boy and scare myself rigid *laughs* Unbeknown to my parents I got through a whole lot of authors on the pretence of ‘study’, and read what I liked at an unsuitably early age.
