There’s a brand new subscription crate on the market, and its all down to those lovely people over at Second Life Syndicate.  The very first SLS Crate, called Upgrades 1.0 was released on Saturday 1st June.  You can read more about the SLS Crates and how they work on their webpage  HERE. As with other subscription boxes, there is a time element attached to the crates. So, Pre orders are available for a discounted price of 1K LS. The pre order period is two weeks before release.  Once released the price goes up to 1500LS.    Each crate will have a theme.  All the items in the crate will be either unisex or there will be an option for both male and female if not. Inside each crate there will be items from 6 designers.  Each item will be worth at least 500LS (or a collection of items adding up to that price).  Once released the crates will be available to purchase, either inworld or on the marketplace, for the full price of 1500LS.  They will be available for three months only.  Only after this date will the items included in the crates be available for purchase in the designers stores.

The first SLS Crate is Sci Fi  themed,  and it’s called Upgrades 1.0. It was released on 1st June, and will be available to purchase, at full price, until 31st August.  I am showing you a few items from that crate today.  First of all I am wearing the Emotech Collar by Astara.  This is just one item from Astara’s collection, which includes collar, wrist and ankle cuffs, and there is an armband available too.  All pieces come scripted for both Nanite Systems and Open Collar, and there is also an unscripted version in there too.  They all also come with an extensive customisation HUD gives you lots of options including a colour picker, glow and transparency controls and resize controls. I have included a closeup of the collar below, just click on it to see it bigger.

I’m standing in the THX Botanical POD from Ex Machina.  Now, the vendor picture of this totally made me laugh, it said…’Analyses, grows, preserves all kind of alien flora…you can use it for tomatoes and zucchini!’  then it also said….’do not use for the genus cannabis’… very amusing I thought.  Anyway, I digress, because this pod is amazingly put together, with fabulous details, and, at only 14LI, it has materials enabled, and is 100% original mesh, so you won’t find anything quite the same as this ever, its a fabulous unique piece for any sci fi based home or rp sim.

The third item I have used from the crate,  is the Beep Boop Drone from Hilted.  Boy, has sl come a long way since shoulder pets!  This wearable pet robot has spinning fans, and animated flying movements, which you can turn on and off via a HUD.  The HUD also includes 5 body and eye textures, Sound, glow and movement toggle on and off, and a neon light changer. It is also copy, mod and tintable so you really can make it totally your own, and seriously the details on this thing are really amazing.

The pose I’ve used comes from the Lara Pose Set by Lyrium.  The set contains 5 poses plus mirrors, and also comes in HUD and pose stand form as well as playable animations. Grab this and see what other great poses are on off at the Lyrium inworld store.

To complete my futuristic botanical scene, I’m wearing the very lovely Soleil Hair form JUMO, which will be available at the new round of Designer Showcase, which starts on 5th June and will run until 28th. This scraped back bun style comes in a plethora of colours, and includes the hairbase and bun piece.  Please note Designer Showcase will have a new location from this round, the landmark is in the credits below, so grab it and save it!

Last, but certainly not least, my outfit is the Bonetta Latex Set from Xxxtasi. This gorgeous set includesudes both the top and bottoms.  It comes in fits for Maitreya, Slink and Belleza mesh bodies, and there are six different colours included.
