The saga of me being ordered to stay home from work continued into today too. I phone my boss, as instructed yesterday, thirty minutes before I was supposed to start. My throat was still sore so I was croaky and I woke with a wheezy chest (normal for me, I have asthma!), that, coupled with a blocked nose, because I have a cold, must have made me sound pretty rough on the phone, because he ordered me to stay away today too. At least I have the weekend to recover enough to be able to go back to normality on Monday.
I realise they must be seen to be being pro-active, but I still maintain I have a cold, nothing more, and this is still overkill.
