The whole world is gripped in the sickness.  I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t just a little bit scared today. I have a few ongoing health conditions that put me in a high risk group. On Saturday, the small town I live in saw its first reported case of the corona virus.  Yesterday, the gentleman who was sick passed away.  He was being treated in my local hospital, which is within walking distance from where I live.  That brings it far too close to home for my liking.  I’m not what you would call elderly, I’m just 52, but, with my health conditions, which include auto immune disease and asthma, the odds are not great of me surviving this deadly virus if I get it.  I don’t usually panic, and to be honest, I’m not really panicking, but I am scared.  It’s time to be sensible and do everything in my power to prevent infection.  To that end, this weekend I will be moving furniture around, in preparation for my desk and computer to be bought to my home on Monday, so I can work from home until the danger is over.  My boss offered this option to me over a week ago, and then I declined, because, I spend far too much time at home on my own, and I actually like going to work and having adult conversation with my colleagues. Today, I was persuaded, by my workmates, and family members, that this is something I have to do. So here we are.
