A few weeks ago, about 3 or 4, I was asked by someone in Second Life if I would be interested in doing something a bit different. I was excited at the thought, and I agreed. I did the required training, and began to work hard for the team I was involved with. It was very time consuming, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my blogging requirements as they were, so, I left a whole lot of my groups, with sadness I have to say, I had been with some of them for a long time. I kept just a very small handful. Unfortunately, it became apparent that the new venture was not for me, and I took the decision to resign. It wasn’t easy for me to admit I had failed. But, when I think about it, I hadn’t really failed. I did the right thing for me, and for the team I was working with. For me it meant my stress levels and my health issues could go back to a manageable level, and for the team (who actually were amazing to work with and very understanding of my situation), it means they can go forward and find the right person for the job. I gave it a shot, it didn’t work, but at least I tried.
I am more than happy with the handful of stores I now blog for, I love every one of them, and having less means I can have more me time, that’s always a good thing!
