On the 8th May, 1945 both Great Britain and the United States celebrated Victory in Europe Day. It spelled the day when German troops throughout Europe laid down their arms. This year, in 2020, we celebrate still. It’s been 75 years.
Normally, there would be street parties, tea parties, dancing, and all sorts of celebrations going on. Unfortunately, we can’t do that this year. However, we can in Second Life! And if you fancy some fun, and a right old knees up, come along to Nightfire Inn later today, between 1-3pm SLT as our very own DJ Topo, along with his host Troy, will be playing songs of the era. You are also encouraged to dress up in 1940’s style dress, although this is not compulsory, but it will add to the fun!
I managed quite well I think to put an outfit together that resembles something of the 40’s style. what do you think?
