one thousand, four hundred and sixty days

It’s been exactly one thousand, four hundred and sixty days, since I lost my husband to cancer. It sounds like a long time, it is, in fact, just 4 years. No time at all, and for me it still just seems like it was yesterday. There’s not a day goes by that I don’t still think about him. Today I go to the cemetery with my single red rose, and lay it down on the grass where I scattered his ashes. The rest of the day will be spent in quiet reflection, thinking of happier times.
